Corrections


Facts inside satire still need to be right.

If you spot an incorrect factual claim, quotation, source, date, image caption or link, use the contact page and include:

  • the article URL;
  • the exact passage or item in question;
  • the correction you believe is needed; and
  • a source that supports it, where available.

The point will be checked against the best available evidence. A material correction will be made clearly and the article will show an updated date or correction note. Small spelling, punctuation or formatting fixes may be made without a formal note when they do not change the meaning.

Disagreement with a judgement is not automatically a factual correction. The opinion may remain. The evidence behind it should still survive inspection.
